My Faves - 2018

My Faves - 2018

Holiday Greetings! I thought I would compile a short list of my favorite vegan options from the past year. All food and no large chain offerings. I hope you find something on here that surprises you.

Enjoy!

1. Hummus at Damascus Grill

Creamy, luscious and smooth deliciousness. Served with a drizzle of olive oil and a side of fresh pita, this is the BEST hummus in town!

Three locations: Denver, Littleton and Castle Rock

2. Queso Dip at Vital Root

My husband turned me onto this little treat. Cashew based cheesy goodness with spicy soyrizo. Yum! Serve with tortilla chips and a cold beer (or Kombucha for my hubs).

Hot Tip – Go at Happy hour. Cheap food tastes better!

 3. Soft Serve at Nooch Vegan Market

Not sure I even have to say this, but who doesn’t love soft serve in a cone? There is vanilla, there is chocolate. There is chocolate vanilla swirl (or is that vanilla chocolate swirl?). I love this ice cream! Nooch is already one of my most favorite places in town. Now even better!

4. Hot Wings and Salad at Fire on the Mountain

This is such a fun place to go on a Friday night! The wings are out of this world. The choices for sauces are outrageous. Always at least 8 vegan options. Now, they have vegan ranch?? Can this possibly get any better?? Well, vegans, they have a bomb salad to go along with those wings. Best part is the salad is big enough for two. Perfect date fare.

5.Guacamole and Chips at Table Mountain Grill and Cantina

What to do if you find your self in old town Golden and you are a little peckish? Check out the Table Mountain Inn. Great drinks and muy delicioso Guacamole and Chips. Perfectly seasoned. Grab a drink and stay a while!

6. Lavendar Cookies at Global Goods and Coffee

Pop in for a delicious hot cup of coffee and find so so much more. This coffee shop in Olde Town Arvada is totally run by volunteers and all proceeds go to support people who are living in the midst of war (refugees). Not only do they sell delicious drinks and luscious lavender cookies, they sell goods made by artisans who are also living in the midst of war. They are paid a fair price for their goods, enabling them to provide for their families.

Hot Tip Sometimes they have outrageous vegan scones

This German Bakery in Arvada has been around for decades. They are local legends. The Almond Black Forest Pastry is a luscious vegan and gluten free wee little chocolate layer cake with cherry and almond filling, then dipped in chocolate. Ausgehzeichnet!

9. Inari at Pacific Mercantile Company

Delectable deep fried tofu pockets stuffed full of sushi rice. These pillows of joy can be eaten as is, or dipped in a little shoyu! Oishii!!

Hot Tip Pacific sells the pockets and seasoning so you can make them yourself!
